Project description
For a precast producer in Austria, RATEC developed a magnetic formwork solution to enable the flexible production of varying top flange geometries within an existing prestressed beam casting setup.
The solution utilises special adjustable end stops based on the Modular Siderail System (MSR), equipped with integrated magnets delivering approximately 4,600 lbs of holding force. In combination with interchangeable timber box-outs, the required flange geometry can be defined with high precision.
This approach allows producers to achieve high product variability with minimal changeover time. Existing casting beds remain in use, while setup time and material consumption are significantly reduced.
The customer benefits from increased operational flexibility and optimised production efficiency.
