Our latest project highlights the practical application of this technology: in 2024, RATEC installed a 2x10 pocket battery mould in Florida. Since 2021, the customer has been operating a state-of-the-art production facility with an automated pallet carousel system, now expanded with stationary formwork for additional elements.
The newly installed battery mould is used to produce wall panels with double-sided textured surfaces, which are combined with H-columns to form fence sections. The upcrete® technology involves pumping concrete from below into the formwork, ensuring excellent surface quality. The pump setup includes a UPP100 pumping station and a rotary distributor with a 12-metre radius for easy hose handling. The maximum panel dimensions are 6 metres in length and 2.4 metres in height, with a wall thickness of 150 mm. With 2x10 pockets, this is the largest battery mould RATEC has delivered to date. Each pocket is tensioned with 60 tonnes of force per side to ensure precise dimensional accuracy.
