In the production of precast slabs with in-situ topping and double walls, production managers face similar challenges: short cycle times, efficient processes and a certain degree of flexibility in product adaptation. Magnet-based shuttering systems have proven to be an effective solution in this environment – not least because they reduce manual working time and increase the level of automation in the production process. The RT U60 Pro shuttering system from Ratec has established itself as a standard product for robot shuttering in circulation plants for precast slab with in-situ topping and double wall production. In the following, there will be an overview of useful accessory products that further exploit the potential of filigree shuttering in general and the RT U60 Pro in particular and measurably facilitate everyday production.
Double wall adapter – secure fixing of narrow slabs
When inserting slabs in double wall production, standard clamping systems sometimes reach their limits: Particularly narrow slabs cannot always be fixed securely with the clamping arms of turnover spreader beams. This is where the double wall adapter comes into play: With an integrated high-performance magnet (2100 kg adhesive force), it reliably holds slabs in position and allows safe turning.
Advantages at a glance:
- Fast and easy fastening
- No need to remove the RT U60 Pro shuttering
- Permissible holding force of approx. 250 kg per adapter
- Ideal for narrow slabs and double wall shells
With this solution, a stable production flow can be maintained even with narrow component geometries.
Solid wall adapter – extension for higher wall thicknesses
The standard RT U60 Pro shuttering is designed for wall thicknesses of 50-100 mm. For applications in which wall thicknesses up to 150 mm are produced, the solid wall adapter offers an economical and flexible extension for fastening wooden shuttering facing. For this purpose, the RTU shuttering can be set with the robot and the adapter can be added manually afterwards.
Advantages at a glance:
- Compatible with various heights of filigree shuttering
- Clamping heights from 98 – 150 mm
- Low dead weight facilitates handling and assembly
- Quick fastening and uncomplicated structure
This add-on solution makes the system even more versatile and enables the production of elements that go beyond classic precast slabs with in-situ topping/double walls without the need for separate shuttering systems.
Adapter for glass-fibre upstands – space-saving and stable
The reliable fixing of these elements represents a challenge for components with introduced glass-fibre-reinforced upstands. The glass-fibre attachment with integrated SPB Standard Pro magnet box (about 450 kg of adhesive force) allows exactly this: It stabilises upstands in a space-saving manner and can be easily attached to the shuttering via an extended stop plate.
For even more flexible applications, the Speedy Adapter with GFS attachment is also available – an independent solution that can be used regardless of the shuttering system and in a wide range of applications, for example for fixing window opening frames or wooden shuttering.
Universal recess box
The reusable recess box can be used to produce recesses for manholes or pipes with a sustainable alternative to polystyrene. The recess box is based on the SPB Standard Pro magnet box, with integrated automatic component and magnet. It is 6° conical for better deshuttering, and can be realised circumferentially with or without a chamfer. The use of such a solution leads to less waste (polystyrene savings >60%), lower material costs and better planning of production processes.
Other accessories – flexibly expandable
In addition to the solutions described, Ratec offers other components to adapt the shuttering to specific requirements:
- Slip-on profiles: For extending the shuttering, optionally with or without integrated magnets.
- Fillers: For bridging gaps in 90-degree butt joints that arise when shuttering with chamfers is used.
- Tooth combs: As transverse shuttering for elements with connecting reinforcement
These additional components extend the functionality of the basic system and support flexible production without having to resort to special shuttering solutions
Magnet-based shuttering systems such as the RT U60 Pro combine proven magnet technology with high adaptability. Targeted accessories can be used to optimise production processes for precast slabs with in-situ topping and double walls, shorten setup times and expand production variants. Especially in plants with a high degree of automation or robot-supported production, these additions offer significant efficiency advantages.
