The challenges facing the industry – from a stagnating residential construction sector to increasing demands in the infrastructure market – were reflected in many discussions, yet were accompanied by a largely optimistic mood. One message came across clearly: the demand for intelligent, flexible formwork systems is greater than ever. Ratec once again positioned itself as a reliable partner, offering well-conceived, proven solutions.
One of the key attractions at the stand was the shrinking core from the flexible 3D mould kit. It provided a clear demonstration of how modern room cell formwork can be adapted to a wide range of project requirements.
There was also significant interest in RATEC’s latest solutions for transformer station production. In recent years, the company has made substantial advancements in this area, particularly with regard to flexibility and user-friendliness. (CPI 02/25)
The stand presentation was enhanced by digital insights: CAD models demonstrated by experts from Ratec’s design and development departments offered exclusive glimpses into the versatility of its formwork solutions.
New Ideas for Familiar Challenges in Magnetic Formwork Technology
Innovations in magnetic formwork also sparked strong interest among visitors. These included new solutions for very high precast elements, such as solutions based on the Easyform and MHS shuttering systems. These systems are modular and adaptable, with the MHS formwork suitable for element lengths of up to eight metres.
In the area of filigree slab and double wall production, Ratec introduced new supplementary components, such as an adapter for stair landings or solid walls. This can be placed manually after the base stuttering has been positioned by robot – offering both speed and flexibility.
Another recent development is a specially designed magnetic adapter for securely fixing thermal insulation elements in balcony connections – without the need for time-consuming screwing or additional holders. This solution allows for quick, flexible and reusable positioning, improving workflow and final product quality.
Conclusion
Once again, bauma succeeded in bringing together key players from across the sector – including long-standing partners and many new contacts. The numerous engaging discussions and high-level exchange on-site now need to be translated into concrete projects. With strong momentum and a clear sense of direction, the industry is well positioned to tackle future challenges collaboratively.
